Rational
Whilst female health has been the focus of a coherent medical approach
or many years, the healthcare of males in their aging years has
tended to be neglected, piecemeal and somewhat uncoordinated.
Since life expectancy of men is shorter than that of women in
general and there are increasingly more women surviving in the oldest
age groups, healthy aging and survival of men will have an impact
on both family and society.
Therefore the aging of the human male requires special consideration.
The Society has, therefore, sought to redress this matter by taking
a number of initiatives in the field.
